Information for Retailers interested in using the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns tutor books and CDs


General Information

We ask that any retailer who is considering carrying the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns educational materials (books and CDs), first please take a moment to read the information provided on these tutor books and CDs at Educational Materials Summary

As these educational materials comprise of a complete curriculum for learning how to play the bagpipe, a retailer that carries these products may realize the following:
  • With the sale of Volume 1 - the creation of a new customer,
  • With the sale of any volume - the potential for that customer to come back and purchase all 18 books and CDs in the curriculum, and
  • With the sale of each volume - the potential for the residual sale of instruments and/or the accessories needed to complete this training.
Retailers that actively market and promote these products have realized a tremendous level of sales. Many have combined volumes to create “packages” for their customers. For example:
  • Volumes 1, 2 and 3 can be combined with a practice chanter and sold as a “Beginner Package”,
  • Volumes 4 and 5 can be combined with a practice goose and sold as a “Learner Package”, and
  • Volumes 4, 5 and 6 can be combined with a bagpipe and sold as a “Player Package”.
Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns is a wholesale outlet only, and will not sell the educational materials directly to customers. Every enquiry that is received is directed to our Retailers Page, where the customer can make their own decision as to which retailer they will use. On our Retailer’s Page, we will highlight our top selling retailers as well as those who carry our products on their web site.

When You Are Ready To Carry Our Products

If a retailer decides that they would like to carry the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns educational materials, they must contact Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns to:

1. Obtain a secure password that allows them to download:
  • The current price list for tutor books and CDs,
  • JPEG images of each volume for use on the retailers web site, and
  • A JPEG advertisement that the retailer can amend to market and promote the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns educational materials.
2. Provide Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns with their contact information, including:
  • Business name,
  • Full business address,
  • Business phone and fax numbers,
  • Email address,
  • Web site link, and
  • Link (on their web site) that will contain the Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns educational materials.
Placing Your Orders

Although there are no minimum quantities required when a retailers places an order, it is recommended that they order sufficient quantities so that when the shipping costs are factored in, the unit price stays as low as possible. Also, retailers will want to have ample supplies on hand for their customers.

When a retailer is ready to place an order, they can simply email their order from our contact page or send to info@bagpipesolutions.com along with the following specific information:
  • The exact quantities of each volume (book and CD),
  • The location the order is to be sent to, and
  • The shipping method preferred.
Through trial and error, we have determined that Canada Post is the most economical and reliable option for shipping. Canada Post offers two main options:
  • Expedited parcel shipping - which is the least expensive option and will take 3 to 4 days within Canada and 8 to 10 days to the USA, and
  • Express Post - which is more expensive but much faster.
(Timelines for International orders vary depending on location)

Bagpipe Solutions by John Cairns will then email a confirmation to the Retailer that the order has been shipped, complete with an invoice.

Retailers can remit payment via cheque or PayPal. At the present time, we do not accept credit card payments.
