Exam Stages

In order to sit an exam, you will be required to complete these stages:

Stage 1

You will be required to contact John to:

  • Obtain a copy of the written theory exam,
  • Obtain a copy of the practical requirements checklist, and
  • Determine the name and contact information of the individual in your area who will administer (on site) your exam.

Stage 2

You will need to make arrangements with your local administrator to meet and write your theory exam. The administrator will be required to verify that you sat the exam without any assistance.

Stage 3

You will need to make arrangements with your local administrator (which could be done concurrently with your theory exam) to sit your practical exam. The administrator will be required to complete all practical components and record all of the playing requirements.

Stage 4

Your administrator will then be required to forward your completed theory exam, practical requirements checklist, video cassette tape and certificate fee to John.

Stage 5

Upon receipt of your exam materials, John will:

  • Review and grade your exam materials,
  • Notify you of the results, and
  • If you have been successful, forward your results to the Piping Centre – with a request for the applicable certificate to be signed and mailed directly to you.
